Programs and Projects.
We have decided not to limit our activities exclusively by work on exhibition and museum projects as in the world there are many interesting themes which are anyhow connected with history, culture and art. We wish to send a new power impetus to cultural life of our district and city, to make it more rich and interesting.
How will it be? Forms can be very different: creative contests for children which will help young talents to reveal themselves, dramatized performances during which everyone can become a participant of a popular ritual or, for example, to go to the Middle Ages and see by his own eyes, how our ancestors and their neighbours lived during those olden times. These are lectures and seminars on history and archeology, master classes during which one can construct a ship model or make copies of old Russian ornaments by one’s own hands. You can find the information on all of this and also on many other things in this Section.
Film-reconstruction "Preobrazhentsy"
Quite often the process of soldiers training and the army everyday life are left “off-screen” the textbooks and popular editions dedicated to the epoch of Peter the First. Besides it is quite difficult to study all the details of a gun loading, commands and musket sleights execution by books and pictures. That is why working over the exhibition «Battle at Lesnaya — 300 years» we decided not only to tell our visitors about the way the infantry military training took place during the Northern War, but also to demonstrate it with the help of the film on Peter’s guardsmen. |
"Kolyada-Molyada" Festival
In traditional pagan ceremonies there are many mysterious and strange rituals that always draw to them both children and adults. Also ethnic motives lately became very popular in arts and design (clothes, interiors), and even in music. We wanted to organize the celebration of the New Year in a special way, giving children besides interesting games and entertainment something new. So we chose Christmas time festival "Kolyada-Molyada" as a way to tell about the traditions of the ancient Rus' in an interesting game form. On one hand, the origin of this festival goes back to very ancient times, on the other hand Christmas themes are known to and loved by everyone. |
Contest “My District of FUTURE”
The appearance of our city undergoes significant changes last years. The different projects are designed and implemented. But … all these are activities of the adults who are living today. But how does it seen by those who are going to live and create in the city tomorrow? |
